The Direct Support Professional Microcredential program provides the framework you need to grow your career in the intellectual and developmental disabilities field. Coursework is structured into three microcredentials with nine credits in each and aligns with the requirements for certification from the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) Note: Priority for this program will be given to people currently working in the direct support professional field. Space may be limited for those not currently working in the field.
Your name and email address be released to OPWDD unless you notify us that you seek to opt out by letting the Registrar’s office know by emailing registrar@sunydutchess.edu.

Microcredentials at DCC are noted on the student transcript and students are awarded a Digital Badge upon completion through industry partners, Credly/Acclaim. Your typed signature above also gives full consent for the college to share your name, academic history, and email address for the purposes of issuing a badge up on completion of the microcredential requirements. Should you decide to continue at DCC, you can apply your coursework to an associate degree or certificate in Human Services.
