We are pleased that you are interested in the Nursing Program at DCC.

This Nursing Program Application must be submitted by February 15, as well as all other Nursing admissions steps (Information Session, TEAS, etc) for Fall 2026 consideration.

The Nursing Criteria Form on the website is for your information and is not part of this application process. However, continuing and transfer students will be asked to enter course grade information below as part of this application.

There are approximately 56 available new seats in the nursing program. A maximum of 14 seats will be allotted for New York State residents who reside outside of Dutchess or Putnam Counties. Students from outside Dutchess or Putnam must comply with all requirements to be considered for admission. Living in the residence hall does not qualify you as a Dutchess County resident. All Nursing program applicants are accepted into the General Studies Program until they are admitted into the program. This step is for Nursing Admissions review processes only. You may still be required to prove your residency for tuition purposes.

I understand the Nursing Eligibility criteria required and that admission into the program is competitive based on points earned, GPA (minimum of at least 2.75) and TEAS scores. Note: Coursework older than 5 years old will NOT be included in the GPA calculation.

Some first-time college students (non-transfer) may be able to begin the nursing program immediately in the fall. Potentially eligible students meet the following requirements:

Have successfully completed biology classes or college biology classes in high school (excluding Living Environment)
